Green hope to plant two lakh trees-save nature for future-a special report
Come Sunday, and the city is all set to go green as Navi Mumbai is will witness the biggest annual greening drive. City NGO Green Hope, for the second year in a row is organizing a major tree plantation drive where in 2 lacs trees will be planted across Navi Mumbai.
Humankind has an obligation to put right the damage we’ve caused, and evidence suggests the planet has a remarkable ability to heal, if we give it a helping hand. Planting trees is seen as one of the most important things the average man in the street can do, because of its environmental impact…..

Sena faces setback ahead of elections as KK strong corporator Shivram Patil from Sena to NCP
When Sena corporator Shivram Patil arrived at Bhavkaleshwar Temple to greet Thane Guardian Minister Ganesh Naik on his birthday, tongues were set wagging that Shivram Patil was all set to part ways from the Shiv Sena at a crucial time ahead of elections to join NCP. While Shivram Patil said that his differences with his Navi Mumbai Chief was the reason for changing loyalties, the latter said that Shivram Patil’s defection will hardly have any impact on the Shiv Sena’s prospect in the upcoming assembly elections.
